Found chr on IGI. Son of John Holbrook and Deborah.

Marriage details from Sandy Hall say "of Bagley in the parish of Hordley, Salop, bachelor, age 21, farmer, father John, farmer".

May 1856; Is named in the will of Stephen Sumpter of Irthlingborough "HOLBROOK, Thomas, husband of Sarah Ann".

1858; Northampton Mercury; "Thomas Holbrook, of Sutton, in the county of .Surrey, and eldest daughter of William Wright, Esq., of Irthlingborough, in this county. "

1861 Census (age x3 - unclear) living Woking, Surrey as widower, with sister, 1 son and 1 daughter and 3 servants. Occupation "Farmer of 250 acres employing 7 men and 2 boys". Also visiting is James B Wright - his nephew (John P Wrights son). Actually appears to be living in Sutton - which is between Guildford and Woking.

RECHECK subsequent years below now have proper birth date.

1871 Census; whole family seem to have vanished! HOWEVER there is a Thomas (47)indexed as Hanlback which, looking at it could be Holbrook (just) living in Aston, Birmingham. His (presumably second) wife is Elizabeth (47) and daughter Sarah A. is 19, which would match this Sarah Holbrook. Interestingly father is Retail Brewer - son Thomas is later Brewery Manager, so not that far fetched! This also shows her as being born in Warwickshire, although unfortunately it also shows father same.

1881 Census; whole family seem to have vanished!

1891 Census; can't find. Surely he must be dead.

Thomas married Sarah Ann Wright, daughter of William# Wright and Sarah A.# Perkins, on 11 Nov 1847 in Irthlingborough, Northants. (Sarah Ann Wright was born on 30 Mar 1819 in Northants., christened on 27 Sep 1819 in Pattishall, Northants and died Q1 1858 in Guildford, Surrey.)
