Got middle name for sure from finding chr on IGI; Thomas William Holbrook chr 9 May 1850 (same date as brother) at Hordley, Shrops. Father Thomas Holbrook, Mother Sarah Ann.

1851 Census (age 2). Listed as William Thomas, but reasonably sure it's him. Staying with his grandfather John Holbrook (and his 2 unmarried daughters and 2 servants) in Welsh Hampton, Shrops, occupation 'Farmers Son' !

1861 Census (age 12) 'Scholar' living with his grandparents, sister and 2 domestic servants in St Peters Parish, Brighton.

1871 Census; whole family seem to have vanished! Perhaps was in Scotland as that's where wife is from ?

1891 Census; Living (age 42) in 95 Frithville Gardens, St.Stephens, Hammersmith with wife, 5 children and 2 servants. Occupation is "London Manager of Country/Coventry/something business".

1901 Census; Living (age 52) as widower in 95 Frithville Gardens,St Stephen, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith with 5 children, brother (John), 2 servants and a visitor (Kate Wilkinson, 44, single, born Boston, Lincs). Occupation is 'Manager to Brewery Company'.

1911 Census; Wendy says is now married to Violet and still living in same house as '01. So; Living at 95 Frithville Gardens,St Stephen, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith with (second) wife and 2 children from second marriage. Children from first marriage living elsewhere in London and the same Kate Wilkinson is again a visitor.

Thomas Holbrook died 7 March 1924. Probate granted to Violet and George William Rands (qv)

Thomas married Nina Patterson, daughter of Robert Hogarth Patterson and Georgina Thomson, Q3 1876 in Fulham, London. (Nina Patterson was born in 1852 in Edinburgh, Scotland and died Q1 1899 in Fulham, London.)

Thomas next married Violet. (Violet was born in 1886.)
