1901 Census (age 21), single, living (within boarding house) at 25 Royal Parade, Eastbourne, Sussex with mother and 2 siblings. Occupation; Undergraduate then something else looks like 'Lamb St' but prbly 'something student' ... Law Student ?
1911 Census (from Wendy) living as lodger (Age 31) at Churston House Paignton,Devon. Clerk in Holy Orders Curate i/c St Andrews.
1921 Census; Living (age 42y9m) as 'visitor' (not 'Brother') at Shiphay House, Cockington, Newton Abbot with brother Aubrey and nephew and 5 servants. Occupation; Clerk in Holy Orders.
London Gazette 20th March 1934; Re;Eustace Bateman, Deceased. Notice is hereby given that all persons having any claims against the estate of Eustace Bateman, late of 10, Nevern Mansions, Nevern Square, Earls Court, London SW5 who died on the 28th day of January 1934, and whose Will was proved in the Principal Probate Registry on the 16th day of March 1934, by Aubrey Bateman, Herbert Linnell and Aubrey Roland Hanbury Bateman, the executors therein named, are hereby etc. etc. Solicitors were Finnis, Downey, Linnell and Chessher, so that's presumably explains the Herbert Linnell.
