Wendy found; Times Thurs 20 Nov 1856 - On Tuesday 18 inst at St Marylebone James Crichton of London and late of Dundee to Elizabeth Maria Bateman 2nd daughter of William Bateman of 27 Hamilton Terrace. And; James Crichton - described as Merchant -resident of Liff. Her age is 20 - his father Peter Crichton Corn Merchant.
1861 Census; Living as 'wife' (but husband not there) (aged 28) at Waterloo Villa, Annfield Road, Dundee with son and a Margareta Crichton (32, 'sister', born Dundee) and 2 servants. Occupation ; Merchants wife. Shown as 'Elizabeth M'.
