Looked for Hoddell's and living in Clodock but wife born in Llambed - same place as this person.
b.William Hoddell's will mentions a married dau Mary Williams.
c.Then was able to narrow down dau birth and sent for birth cert which also confirmed.
1841 English Cenus (age 25), living at Stormy Grotte(?), Newton, Herefordshire with husband, 3 children and 2 x Ag Lab's. Has put yes to born in this county, which seems wrong, but then she puts Clodock in '61 !
1851 Census (age 40) living at Great Blackhill, Craswall, Herefordshire . Living with husband, 3 children and farm servant. PoB v hard to read but according to ancestry index it is Lambed, Breconshire. Certainly it IS Breconshire.
1861 Census; Age 50; Living at 'Cwm Dulais' with husband, son (James) and domestic servant. The Powell's (inc. daughter Mary Ann) also living at same address. There appears to be a line between the two groups (and 2 'Heads'). Perhaps cottage attached to farm or similar? NB: On this census she gives PoB as Clodock?!?!
1871 Census; age ?? ; back living at Great Blackhill, Craswall, Herefordshire with husband, son (Richard), daughter, 3 grandchildren and 2 servants. Would be interesting to see who at Great Blackhill in '61 - but have searched for Richard Williams independently of Powells for '61 - and only brings the Cwm Dulais entry up. PoB back as Lambed, Breconshire .....
1881 Census; age 73 (? does not compute) living with husband at Lower Cwm, Clodock, Llaneynoe, Herefordshire. PoB given as Lambed, Breconshire.
Found grave of both of them in Clodock churchyard. Originally had YoB as 1811 (from census) but have changed to give age at death of 72 - which is what is on gravestone. However this does not compute with the age on '81 census, although that is hard to read.

(Richard# Williams was born in 1814 in Clodock or Newton, Herefordshire, died on 20 Sep 1884 in Clodock and Longtown, Herefordshire and was buried in 1884 in Clodock Churchyard.)
