- Marriage (1): George# Powell on 27 Oct 1860 in Clodock, Herefordshire

Notes:
Originally had parents as Robert and Eliza Gwillim (Welsh for Williams) after finding a possible birth record. However then found Mary Ann on '51 census and current parents. This made more sense with the '61 and '81 census - ie. the Williams connection.
Looked for her bapt in Clodock in the Hereford CRO - not there.
Got her precise birthdate from Family Bible info from Rosemary Elmes.
Can't find her bapt. on IGI. If got her birth cert should give mother mdn name, but fairly common name ! 1840; Q4 Mary Williams, Hereford&c, Vol 26, Pg 143 <<--- sent for this one; Oct 2nd 1840 at Stormy Pavlle(?), Newton. Mary. 1861 Census; Age 20; Living at 'Cwm Dulais' with husband, no children. However also living at same address are her parents. There appears to be a line between the two groups. Perhaps house divided into two?

1881; ? Don't know. Husband and children were visiting the Williams (her brother), and he was still listed as married, so she must have still been alive? ...... 2 years later .... found her! 1881 Welsh Census (age 39) is visitor at Black Lion Inn, Llanfair Caereinion, Montgomeryshire, which is home of Evan Evans (61, innkeeper and farmer of 20 acres) and Mary Evans (60). All Evan's (there are also 3 grandchildren ditto) born in Llanfair. Mary listed as born in Longtown, Hereford and occupation is 'Farmer's Wife' - although this has been crossed out.

Must have died between 1891 and 1901 as George widower in 1901 census. Later; Found death record on ancestry.
Have looked in graveyards in Atcham and Wroexter, but not found anything for George or Mary Ann Powell.
