Found wedding on IGI. Was 'of Irthlingborough' and says born about 1767, which doesn't quite tie in with grave, but this is just extrapolated 'guess' YoB. Is also on Northants strays marriages;

Grave in Sumpter 'cluster' in St Peters, Irthlingborough;
Thomas FREEMAN Sumpter (John P Wright calling his first born Sarah Elizabeth FREEMAN Wright) son of John and Susanna Sumpter. Died 9th October 1812 in the 52nd year of his life. Also commemerated on same grave; a) A male who died Feb 1802, aged 18, presumably a son or brother and b) A female who died Aug 16th 1799 aged 77 (or 17) presumably Thomas' mother or dau. Couldn't read their names but could pick out 'his' and 'her'.
Official text from Irth MI index is ; 3.(Headstone with a rounded top and a footstone, on the headstone) This stone is erected to perpetuate the memory of THOMAS FREEMAN SUMPTER son of JOHN and SUSANNA SUMPTER who after a lingering and painful illness which he bore with Christian fortitude and resignation was remov'd from Time to Eternity on the 9th day of October 1812 in the 52nd year of his age. Also near this place lieth the remains of JOHN and SUSANNA SUMPTER. He died February the 10th 1807 aged 84 years. She died August the 16th 1798 aged 77 years (The footstone is illegible).

Thomas married Mary Money on 30 Aug 1792 in St John, Bedford. (Mary Money was born in 1759, died on 30 Jan 1843 in Irthlingborough, Northants. and was buried in Irthlingborough, Northants..)
